Jean Smith Wins "Winter Miniatures" Show at the CAC Gallery of the Arts

Cosmic Cow Society member Jean Smith recently tied for first place in the "Winter Miniatures" art show sponsored by the Community Arts Cafe's Gallery of the Arts in downtown Winston-Salem. Her "Pixie" tied for Best in Show.

The reception for the show was held January 14 at the gallery on 4th Street and was well-attended.

Jean Smith creates stunning portraits in a variety of styles, bringing her subject alive on campus. She is also available for commissions.

A painting of Jean's was the very first work sold at the Gallery of the Arts when it opened in October 2009.

You can view her biography, artist statement, and her latest work at her artist page at the Gallery of the Arts website at http://communityartscafe.com/gallery/members/jsmith/.

Jean was also the Featured Artist of the month at the Gallery of the Arts for March 2010.
